“ This isn't the fanciest looking steakhouse you'll ever go to, but its steaks put some of the fancy ones to shame! I was amazed how good their steaks were, their Kansas City strip is without a doubt one of the best steaks I've ever had! The appetizers and sides were great too. I'm not sure about the deserts because I was too full from steak to try them! We will be back here for sure. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and you definitely get your money's worth here! ”
“ Hickory House at some amazing food. If you're looking for a home cooked meal like your mom used to make, this is your place. The buffet is outstanding, and the menu items just as good. It's a little off the beaten path so not easily noticeable from the highway. The staff are all polite and very fast. If you were in the area I highly recommend Hickory House Restaurant. ”
“ Literally the best place me and my husband have ever ate at. Food was absolutely delicious and cooked fresh to order. We received our food pretty quickly. Prices seem a little high but once you taste the food you’ll understand it’s worth every penny as good quality food is hard to come by nowadays. We will definitely be making an out of state trip atleast one a month just to eat here! ”
“ We met my daughter and her fiance there as like a halfway point from where we live. Thank goodness we found this place we got there Saturday night about 5:30 2 prime rib dinners were ordered A volunteer plate was ordered and the hoecake was ordered. Also fried green tomatoes. Everything was delicious and we all shared with each other. I am not a rib fan but this place made me a believer!!! That's how I like my ribs, meaty, tender and delicious . Let's not forget the cobbler, Saturday night was apple and nothing pedestrian about it, not mushy at all like many places serve, hats off to the owners, this place is a gem in your town ”
“ Exceptional Southern Comfort Food & Wonderful Service! From the moment we walked into Hickory House, we knew we were in for something special. Our meal was nothing short of fantastic, and our server, Gale, was absolutely wonderful—warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our experience. We started with the fried green tomatoes and mushrooms, both fried to golden perfection. The tomatoes had just the right tangy bite, balanced by a crisp, seasoned crust, while the mushrooms were juicy and earthy, bursting with flavor in every bite. For the main course, the brisket was simply outstanding—tender, smoky, and so juicy it practically melted in my mouth. It paired perfectly with the green beans, which were slow-cooked and seasoned just right, giving them a deep, savory richness. The cucumber salad was a refreshing contrast, crisp and cool with a light, tangy dressing that balanced the heartier dishes beautifully. We also had the salmon patties, which were packed with flavor—flaky, moist, and seasoned with a perfect blend of herbs and spices. And then there was the chocolate cobbler—rich, decadent, and sinfully good, with a gooey, molten center and a slightly crisp topping that made every bite pure heaven. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I finished with the cast iron cookie and vanilla ice cream—and it was to die for! The cookie arrived warm, with a crisp golden edge and a soft, gooey center, while the vanilla ice cream melted into it perfectly, creating the ultimate sweet and creamy bite. The food, the service, and the atmosphere all exceeded expectations. Hickory House is a true gem, and I can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable meal! ”
“ We heard about Hickory House recently on TN Crossroads. My husband made a note to visit sometime. This weekend we decided to explore some & try something new to us. We drove around on the lovely Spring afternoon & ended up near Pulaski. He looked up Hickory House Restaurant. It’s near the ballpark in Pulaski. There were so many cars parked all around the building. Only 30 minutes wait said. They were prompt & so courteous to us. The restaurant was full. The service was amazing. Everyone was very kind & helpful. Their menu looked wonderful with so many delicious dishes. Steaks are their specialty we were told. So that was our choice. Our meals were perfect & delicious. We had enough food for another day of take home. We shared a Banana Pudding. Just enough sweet to finish our dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience & will return again. Thank you for your hospitality! ”
“ A few of us flew into Abernathy field on a Sunday for lunch, thought we'd give it a try. Wonderful experience all around, immaculate restaurant with excellent food and service. I highly recommend it, well worth the hour and a half flight from south Alabama. ”
“ Great pulled pork and smoked sausage, they have white sauce and hot sauce which is a must for me. My son had a burger and said its one of the best he's ever had. ”
